Transitionary

I describe Still as a “lost stream” because when I think back, that’s how it was conceived - a stream of consciousness that resulted in really nothing but an image that serves as the opening of the short. It was a series of segments strewn together by transitions more so than a concrete narrative. Each transition serves to lead into another stream, connected by graphic matches, with every character or object containing its own meaning or purpose. I originally intended to present the film without any sound or music, but Richard and Andrew convinced me otherwise. Of course, it was the right thing to do and I couldn’t be more grateful.
